*NEW* Diaper & Wipes Clutch

So this is my take on the diaper and wipes clutch...it's a CLUTCH! lol It ties up really nicely with a pretty pink grosgrain ribbon and fits a few diapers, a wipes case (we are working on our covered cases-FYI) and has room for rash cream, too!

♥ Spring 2009 ♥

Yes, I AM talking about SPRING already! :) We are working on the Spring line! Our Fall/Winter line production hit a few bumps in the road however, we were able to release a few pieces for now...the rest we are re-working and will debut in the Spring! It isn't easy being a one-woman show! I can't even begin to tell you how amazing, fulfilling, exhausting and down right HARD it is to be in business for yourself!

My DH works for a big car company and lucky him, he gets paid hotel nights, paid dinners, paid CAR and GAS...must be nice! (Although I do have to admit that it is nice to ride around in HIS nice car that is FREE! haha)

It will all pay off...it will all pay off...(lol)

In the spare time that I have...I have been working with my lil lady and the States & Capitols...she is in 1st grade and I don't know when they actually learn the states and capitols but, I just saw this 2 year old on t.v. who knew all of them and was thinking...no way! So, we are working on that :) She is also reading very, very well on her own so we encourage that at home.

My son who is 2 1/2 is learning his ABC's and just started to really put sentences together...I mean "real" sentences! It is also nice that he is starting to tell us how he feels...if he is tired or wants to lay down he can communicate that very clearly and seems to understand when we tell him what to do as well!

When I am not being super mama, I am working on The Posh Parent (www.theposhparent.com) and just getting geared up fr our launch Monday!

All is well...chaotic, but well in the world of Tres Couture!

I was very plesantly surprised to find an email notifing me that I received an AWARD on Posh Mama! I joined this network for women only back in February when I first moved out here to NY and it has been a blessing to be a part of. I have met a lot of fabulous business women and have been able to help several with their businesses which makes me very happy!

Nothing encourages me more than when customers send me emails about their purchases from TC. This particular customer is from Canada and found me on Etsy.

"Hi Again! Thanks so much for fixing the listing so I could buy this dress...I'm sure this dress is special to you, but I have to tell you just how perfect it is for my daughter! My husband's favourite colour is black; we've collected antique keys for years (they're all over our house), and since my husband and I are from different ethnic origins we've always talked about our daughter as being a zebra(the black and white stipes symbolizing the mixing of the two cultures). ♥ NEW clothing...♥

I have been working on a new line of clothing for a while now...finally, I found fabrics and styles that I LOVE! I hope that you enjoy what I have come up with! These are very rough draft images so excuse the mess but I was so excited to share this with you!

♥ I support Mamas in business!!! ♥

I have received so many emails asking to review my product, host a giveaway, etc. and I have said YES to everyone! Maybe some may think that I am too nice...either way, I LOVE to support other women trying to do something for themselves!

It is so refreshing to me when I meet fellow business women who are so supportive, helpful and willing to share any and everything they can to help me succeed! It has not always been like that for me in business. I started out kinda roughly and was very weary of other women in business...that was until I met and got to know some of them a little better!

Amber over at RuffleButts has been amazing...she is so sweet and so helpful! Her short time selling has quickly grown and that is something to admire! She is having a little rufflebutt of her own! She has a fun blog as well! Check out her website when you get a chance!

I also met Jessica of Mia Joie who is a fellow Christian woman and who has also been very kind and helpful. She sells in Etsy and I bought the cutest flower clips for my goddaughter Olivia. She now makes shoes! I can't wait until I can carry them in my The Posh Parent boutique! She even has adorable BOY shoes! We all know how hard it is to come across boy styles that are cute! The thing I admire the most about Jessica is that she has actually enlisted (and pays) local moms to help her out! What a giving heart she has!

Not everyone shares the same business ethics and I can't judge anyone for how they choose to run their business but for me, if anyone out there needs advice on how to start your own business, how to market yourself, how to SEW (lol) I have gone through it all and have been where you are and would be honored to share with you what I can!

With that said...that is a major reason why I started The Posh Parent & Co. to help other entrepreneurial mamas!

The lovely and talented Jessica Alba sent a thank you note to Style Cafe Moms for the gift basket! We provided her and baby Honor with our Gal on th Go Snuggle Blanket back in February.

I am trying to scan the note and upload it so, I will post it as soon as I figure that out! :)

♥ Growing, growing, growing...♥

I have to say, this pace is very steady, very comfortable...but the new wallets are such a hit, I am starting to wonder how I am going to keep up...and looking into hiring an assistant for a few hours a week to help out!

My DH (darling husband) says "Why would you need an assistant?" I bet you might be thinking the same thing...

First of all, the sewing alone...it gets done at 10pm, 11pm, 2am...whenever I get a chance. Second, it is summer vacation so there are 2 kids running around at all times, one is 6 years old and just wants to desperately to help mama out...Third, there are so so many things that I want to do each day to keep up and not get behind with The Posh Parent now requiring more and more time from me...for instance, google searches on Tres Couture, Yahoo searches, etc. I want to stay on top of any news or articles that are written about TC or me. I want to keep abreast of the new trends in children's clothing, etc. and I just do not have time to sit and spend an hour a day doing those searches.

An assistant 5 hours a week would make a huge difference!

I guess we will have to wait and see how that all pans out...

And as an FYI/BTW on the crayon carriers I was so excited about...I am working with a retailer who wants to have them *Exclusively* at their store so...I will keep you posted once the "fine print" is all worked out so you can check 'em out and buy them there!

♥ Our *NEW* Fall Line ♥

Slowly but surely we are working up a storm for the fall debut line of Couture Me Signature by Clarissa.

Almost 1 year after we started, we are growing at a steady pace and getting our name out there to celebrity mamas as well as "local celebrities" in Orange County, CA and Johnstown, NY. :)

I just returned from a 2 week trip to California with lots of fabric and tons of inspiration! ♥ Sorry it's been a while...♥

We have been "très busy" over here! :) My apologies for not keeping up the blog but here I am, back at it...for this week at least! I am heading back to California this Sunday for a family visit as well as business, of course! We are working hard on our debut of our Fall line of hairbows, clothing and bags! Time flys when you are having fun...this June marks 9 months since Très Couture started!

With this big milestone, we have decided to offer FREE SHIPPING to all the US & Canada! How awesome is that?? ♥ Website Updates ♥

As I find myself designing all these new items of clothing for my Fall line, I am more and more inspired to go beyond blankets and clothing, but, I must stop myself! haha It is truly a blessing to have found my calling at last! It has always been there, but I just tapped into it and have been giving it my all and well, it seems to be paying off so far!

I have decided to make a brand within TC, and I have called it "Couture Me Signature™ by Clarissa" what do you think?? :)

♥ New Spring/Summer Dresses ♥

I orginally had planned on a Spring/Summer collection but I got so caught up with all the blankets flying out the door the time to actually make the line came and went. I am working on the Fall/Winter collection, tentively named "Belle Genese" which means "Lovely Beginnings" and I thought with this being my 1st actual collection, that was appropriate and it also goes with our slogan of "Creating a Legacy of Style" so, there you go!

So, for those of you who have been reading...and waiting to enter the giveaway...sorry, this is not the post! lol TRUST ME, it is coming! I am waiting on something that has been in the works, my 1st Press Release! So, once that is all sent to me...the post shall come! :)
